This article contains the release notes for the releases of Floq.live and Floq Studio done in Q4 2023.

Features and improvements

Analytics are now available for the following features:

  • PDF: When uploading a PDF through the studio or though the host dashboard, the number of views is tracked. It does not matter whether the PDF is opened from the button (on web) or from the Resources tab (on web or mobile)
  • Introduction video: For the introduction video that can be uploaded or recorded on the host dashboard, the number of minutes an attendee is watching is tracked. Please note that this number is rounded up to the next integer, so that also videos that are shorter than 1 minute have views.
  • Audio recording: For the introduction video that can be recorded on the host dashboard, the number of minutes an attendee is listening is tracked. Please note that this number is rounded up to the next integer, so that also recordings that are shorter than 1 minute have views.

The analytics are tracked both from the mobile app and the web app. The results can be found in the event engagement dashboard, the dashboard of 1 programme item and the dashboard of 1 attendee (video and audio recordings only). Additionally, they can be found in the general event export, the export of 1 programme item and the export of 1 attendee. Support for the CME export will be added later.

Features and improvements

  • For info tiles on the society screen, you can now also add custom HTML created elsewhere. Just toggle to Custom HTML, and copy and paste the code in the field.
  • On the host dashboard, a card is added with information about the features and options on the dashboard. The text of this card can be customized via the studio.
  • The role 'Round table host' has been renamed to 'Presenter' in the overview of sessions a user has a role in.

Features and improvements

Improved search

Search in different places has been improved to give better results:

  • In the programme search, you can now also search for presentations within a session and for persons having a role in a session.
  • In both list, programme and general search, the order of the words doesn't matter. So searching for 'smith john' will also return 'john smith' in the search results.
  • Results are ranked (within their type) based on where the keyword is found (title, subtitle, info field).

Hosted rooms


A number of settings related to hosted room were added in the data structures for Programme items and Posters. All settings, including the existing two (make the resources on-demand available, allow the host to upload a PDF) have been grouped below Hosted room settings.



  • Display icon when poster or slides are attached: If on, a tag icon is displayed in the web an mobile apps. By default off, so that existing apps won't change.
  • Allow host to start meeting: If on, a host invited to an item of this type will see the button to use the PDF in the live meeting, and will have a button Start meeting bottom left. If off, these are not available. By default on, so that existing apps won't change. Can be turned off if you do not want to allow your hosts to start live meetings.
  • Allow host to record or upload introduction video: If on, the host will see the card to record or upload an introduction video. If off, the entire card is not visible. By default on, so that existing apps won't change. Can be turned off if you do not want to allow introduction videos.
  • Allow host to record audio description: If on, the host will see the card to record an audio description. If off, the entire card is not visible. By default on, so that existing apps won't change. Can be turned off if you do not want to allow audio descriptions.

Other

  • The email templates have been improved to have a clearer link to Floq.
  • Since Google sign-in is no longer supported, this section has been removed from App building.
  • Two icons have been added to the default library: 

Bug fixes

  • In the export overview of all recordings and PDFs that can be created through Virtual & Interactivity > Backstage access & recordings, audio recordings are now also included.
  • Automatically sending an invite to newly added attendees when using the attendee sync works again.

Features and improvements

  • On the side panel (on the web app) and the detail page (on the mobile app), there are a few small changes on the Schedule tab of Programme items. This tab contains the items are nested under the selected item, for example presentations or posters in a session. These changes do not apply for the Schedule tab of other types, such as Topics or Persons.
    • Only the time is shown. Showing the date is not needed, as it will be the same as the session. 
    • The start time is shown for every item, even when it is the same as the item before.
    • The duration of an item is not shown, as the different presentations will be after one another.
    • When the tab contains only timed items, they are sorted chronologically. When it contains both timed and untimed items (for example posters), they are sorted alphabetically.
  • When a programme item is nested under another programme item, the so-called 'parent' is not on the Schedule tab, but on the Info tab.

  • The light grey line below the title bar on the web app has been removed.
  • The margin between items in the daily programme in vertical view has been decreased, so that items that are after each other are closer. As a result, there is also more space for the classifier icons: it is now shown for items of 45 minutes or longer.

Bug fixes

  • The tooltip when hovering over a classifier icon is now in the right place, instead of in the middle of the screen.
  • The placeholder text that was shown when creating a new note has been removed.

Bug fixes

  • The event analytics are loading much faster.
  • In the event analytics, the number of attendees and the number of those which are anonymous, are now correct and consistent between all pages of the dashboard and the export.
