Release notes Q2 2025
This article contains the release notes for the releases of the Floq.live web app, mobile app and Floq Studio done in Q2 2025.
16 April 2025
Features and improvements
- Security improvevents to web app, mobile app and studio.
- The studio now requires 2-factor authentication using an authenticator app. The first time you sign in while it's not set up, you will be asked to scan a QR code with your authenticator app to add it there. After that, you will have to add the one-time code generated by this authenticator app when you sign in. Optionally, you can be remembered on a device for 30 days.
- The Contacts page in the mobile app has an integrated QR code scanner. With this scanner, you can scan other people's virtual business cards, that can be found in the app, to open their profile directly.
- On the mobile app, tablets now have a 4-column layout for the event landing page, instead of 2 columns like on phones.
- The acccessibility of the moderator dashboard has been improved, allowing easier navigation and operation with VoiceOver or keyboard only.
- The setting to make uploaded slides or posters visible to attendees is now by default on for new data types and for all types in the default template. Before, it was by default off, causing confusion when a PDF was uploaded in the studio but not visible in the app. Please note that older template files might still contain types for which this setting is off.
Bug fixes
- When opening the web app on a mobile device, the Menu button works again. Additionally the cross to the Notifications and Conversations page is visible again.

Features and improvements
Accessibility
- The focus order was made more logical. Examples: when opening an item from the programme or a list, the focus goes directly to the side panel, or when opening a modal the focus is directly in the modal.
- A focus style was added to components that did not have it yet.
- The language was added to the HTML body tag, for example EN-GB when the event language is British English, or NL when it's Dutch.
- The accessibility of the About this platform panel is improved: images have labels and the horizontal lines are now ignores by screen readers.
- Browsing the daily programme with VoiceOver was made easier and more logical. In the table view, the start and end times of programme items are read as well when toggling through the items.
- Programme items can be rated from the card on the Interactive tab with the keyboard or VoiceOver.
- Plus a few other small improvements with regards to keyboard and VoiceOver navigation.
Other
- It is clearer how to add a new vote question: the title is renamed from 'Questions' to 'Vote questions' and the button now also has a label, instead of only a + icon.
- The tags in the Exhibitor booth are now in the same order and color as elsewhere. Before, they were grouped together at the top of the page, now they grouped per type. The order of these types is like set in the data types.
- In the exhibitor dashboard, slideshow images can now be uploaded for institutions that have the side panel layout, and not only for the exhibitor booth.
Bug fixes
- The filters on the daily programme work again.
- Starting a chat with a representative in the exhibitor booth no longer crashes the page.
