Review and approve updated institution profiles from representatives

This article describes how you can approve changes to the institution profiles that were submitted by representatives of that institution.

Representatives may be granted permission to update their own profile. When they have this permission, you will be able to review what they changed before it's released to all attendees. You can filter the list of institutions on those that have updated information. After doing that, there two ways to accept the information: through the institution profile, or in batch through the institution list.

Filter the institution list

To allow filtering, you will first need to make sure that you can see the status in the table. Open the Table settings button from the top right. 

Tick the box Updates from dashboard and Save your changes.

After doing so, a new column will appear in the table, that contains the status of the profile. A filter is added above it, with which you filter on the following values:

  • Updates pending: representatives of this company have submitted profile updates from their dashboard that have not yet been reviewed. Use this filter to quickly see which institutions need to be reviewed
  • Updates accepted: representatives of this company have submitted profile updates that have been accepted by you or another user of this studio.
  • No updates received yet: representatives were invited to update the profile of this institution, but no information has been received yet.

When an institution has a dash in the table, no representatives are invited to add or edit its profile.

Accepting changes through the institution profile

After filtering on Updates pending, you can open each of the institutions to see what information was updated. A notification is added above the profile to see the fields that were updated:

You can review the fields that are mentioned and update them further if needed. When you save the page, the updated information is stored to the event data and published upon the next release. From then on, the attendees will also see the new information.

Accepting changes through batch edit

If you don't want to review every individual institution, you can also batch-accept the updated profiles. Use the filter Updates pending, and select the institutions in the table with the checkbox on the list. In the batch edit toolbar, choose Accept updates.

Confirm that you want to accept the changes. If you make a release after, the updated information is also available to the attendees.
