How can I create an account? 

When you access the app, go to the profile icon in the top right corner and select Sign in. It can be that sign-in is required for your event. In this case, the sign-in page will appear right after opening the event (app). Create an account using the same email address you registered with for the event. First, enter this email address. In the next step, you can create your account by filling out your first name, last name, password and company. Accept the terms and conditions before you continue. You will now receive a verification email to finalise your account. Open the email to verify your email address and continue on the app. You can complete your account by adding a profile picture and setting your profile and settings, you can also do this later via My profile.

If the associations or society’s login is enabled, you can use your credentials of this login to sign in to the app.

I did not receive the verification email

  • Check the email address you entered: first check that you have entered the correct email for the account creation.
  • Check your spam folder: If the email address is correct, but you have not received the email, check the spam folder in your inbox. Additionally, you can also search for emails coming from the sender noreply@email.floq.live.
  • Release quarantined emails: Office 365 and Outlook may quarantine emails automatically. Check your quarantined messages in the Quarantine section in your Office 365 Security and Compliance Center and release the verification email from quarantine.

  • Resend the email: if it’s not there, resend the email from the app.
  • Set up allowlisting: If you still cannot find the verification email, your IT department might have blocked it before arriving at your inbox. Check with the team to mark emails coming from noreply@email.floq.live or the IP address 141.193.32.12 as coming from a "safe sender".

The link in the verification email is not working

If the link you have is not working, please verify that you are using the correct link: the latest one that you received by email for this specific event. If using the correct and latest link, try hard-refreshing the web app or relaunching the mobile app. It could be that the verification has succeeded in the background and you can already continue with the account creation. If not, please get in touch with the organiser.


How can I reset my password?

You can reset your password in the sign-in process. After filling out your email address, you get to the page where you need to fill out your password. Here, you find a button to reset your password: Forgot your password?. If you are using an association or society login, you need to reset your password on their website.

You can also reset your password when you are already signed in. From the Edit profile dropdown top right, you can now change your password. Just enter the current password and the new one. 


How can I delete my account? 

From the Edit profile dropdown, you can delete your own account.


How can I edit my public profile?

After you have signed in, please complete your profile with your profile picture, job title, biography, company and contact information. You can always change these details by clicking your name or initials in the top-right corner and selecting My profile. 


How can I change my privacy and visibility settings? 

Upon sign-in, you can set two privacy settings related to your account:

  • Visible in the attendee list: If this function is enabled, other attendees can see you in the event’s attendee list. Note that this setting does not apply to a virtual room’s participants list.
  • Allow new chats and appointments: If this function is enabled, other attendees are allowed to start a chat with you or to schedule an appointment through your profile.

After signing in, you can always change these settings through My profile > Settings.


How can I set my timezone in my account? 

The first time you visit the event, you can decide if you would like to display the programme in the event time zone or in your local time zone. Your local timezone is based on the time settings on your device. The selected timezone can be later changed through My profile > Settings.


How can I sync my devices? 

If you have the same app installed on multiple devices or using both mobile and web apps, you can keep these in sync by signing in. You can do so by clicking the profile icon top right and selecting Sign in. If you don't have an account yet, you can easily create one. If you're signed in on both devices, your saved items and notes will remain in sync.


What can I find in My Achievements? 

On the app, certain achievements are enabled for which you can score points. Go to your profile and click on Achievements to find all the tasks you can perform using the platform to collect points.

The achievements are grouped into different categories: Analytic, Engage, Expert, and Social. Click any achievement to find out what you need to do to score points. Per achievement, there can be multiple levels. Once you have completed all levels, you completed the Achievement. If you complete all achievements within a category, you can score even more points!


On the leaderboard, you can see how well you perform compared to the other event participants. By filtering on Contacts the leaderboard will show your contacts only.
