Google Play Store – Data Safety

This article will guide you through the answers required to complete the Data safety form in Google Play Console.

When accessing Google Play Console, select the app, go to the side menu, and select App Content. Further, find the Data Safety section and click on Start.

If this section will be selected for the first time, you will see four pop-ups with explanations. You can proceed by clicking on the arrow on the right side.

Select Next at the bottom of the webpage.

Answer to the following questions:

• Does your app collect or share any of the required user data types? ==> Yes
• Is all of the user data collected by your app encrypted in transit? ==> No
• Which of the following methods of account creation does your app support? Select all that apply. 
  • If you are not using custom log-in solutions and rely on the in-app signing-in, choose "Username and password".
  • If you are using custom log-in, fill in your answers in accordance with the used solution.
• Fill in the link with the URL that the users can use to request that their account and data is deleted. This can be a URL to the "contacts" section of your website, where the users can contact you with the deletion request.
• Do you provide a way for users to request that some or all of their data is deleted, without requiring them to delete their account? ==> Skip the question

Click on "Next". Then, all these sections (e.g. Locations, Personal Info, Financial Info, etc.) will appear:

You should select the following data types for our app to collect:

After clicking "Next", please select Start to answer questions about how data is used and handled

Select only the box "Collected" for each of them
